So anyway, meet Russell Everiss. He started out as an alternate AoH character (he was going to be in Virens) but in the end Calanthe won out. Next I was going to try out for a different OC academy on dA with him but I didn’t finish the picture in time. Oh well, there’s always next time.

…besides, seeing as I have pretty much only storyboards for the AoH assignments right now and they’re due in a week it’s probably a good thing I didn’t up and join another one. aha. ha. ha.

it keeps happening

By which I mean I keep procrastinating on work and whatnot and end up having to rush everything together in a few days, augh. stop doing this to yourself, me.

Anyway, school is pretty much running as usual, where “by usual” means "”there are exams in every class and multiple papers are due on the same week,” but that’s just how the schedules work out. As a result, I haven’t had much time to really draw, outside of some quick sketches here and there on paper I happen to have lying around. AoH’s new semester has started up though, and I’ll probably start working on some stuff for that soon…ish. /)_(\ I should probably participate more in that community, but I’m not a huge fan of chatroom RP—it’s very hard for me to keep track of who’s talking to whom in that kind of thing and I tend to get lost. It’s at least nice practice for doing sequential art.

At least anthropology continues to be interesting.

so Eesu and I did a bribe shop on Gaia. It was poorly thought out and completely spur of the moment (…really, the entire thing went something along the lines of

Gaia: /releases new Revolution Dawn RIG
aruu: ai;fioahif;uh;ljf WANT. SUSU. ART SHOP. NOW.
Eesu: WHAT OK.

so uh…yeah.) but it was pretty fun. xD I say “was” even though it’s technically still open because it’s slowed down a lot by now and I’m trying to work more on my SS art for the moment anyway. I did dumb little chibi things…it was kind of amazing watching my gold amount jump up by so much in so little time, honestly…from 100k to 1.4 million in two days. xD I didn’t expect to get such high offers…clearly Gaia’s art market has huge inflation.

These two were the samples I doodled up for the shop. The one on the left’s my Gaia avatar, though it’s not as accurate anymore since I added on the 2k10 scarf later.

taking a break from studying to scan stuff

Exams are this week. The schedule isn’t too bad (exams Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday), it’s just…I don’t feel like I’ve actually learned anything this semester?? I just hate organic chem and I hate ethics. maybe I really should have changed my major back when I had the chance. =A=

aaaaanyway. A couple preliminary designs for stuff. They’re all drawn on the back of handouts because I doodled them in class or in short bursts in between studying. Whyyyy does all the inspiration have to come when I have tons of shit to do. ._.

This one first. it’s supposed to be for the gijinka contest on Solia. Theme is peppermint/spearmint candy. it’s also influenced by ballet costumes somewhat.

These two are designs for costumes for AoH’s Victorian-themed winter ball. Top is Eesu’s Prince Ram, bottom is Calanthe. We weren’t sure if we wanted to do a cross-dressing picture or not…which is why there are two designs for each.

DRAWINGS OVER. AND NOW THE EMO STUFF. doing the 10 days thing because I’ve seen it floating around dA and livejournal (and yeahhh I’m pretty much copying Eesu sorryyyy /bows) and heyyyy what better time to be venting and emo than when I’m already stressed from exams. x_x under the cut. but only if you really want to read it.

This was done on an oekaki board (here). My first oekaki in a really long time. I don’t think I’ve done oekaki before this since…SheezyArt’s? Man, when was that? 2005 or so? idk.

…idk why I decided to do lineless; it’s a pretty rare thing for me. It was kinda fun tho, so. Maybe I’ll work life that some more later. I also picked a canvas size that was a bit too big for how it ended up in the end, oops.

…I miss playing these now. Mm, nostalgia. The Fire Emblem games were my first strategy RPG games. Maybe I’ll go boot up FE8 again sometime, since we kind of lost the FE7 cartridge somewhere… oAo

idk, I'm not very good at this blogging thing. Nothing interesting to write about, I guess. I'm a college student; my day is usually a combination of studying, classes, and procrastination.

So I got sucked back into Solia and Gaia over the summer, mostly because I suddenly wanted to do sum roleplays. Except now with school I've had to pretty much drop everything. /still guilty /still sad ;A; /wouldn't have had to do this if she wasn't such a lazy bum lololol (OTLOTLOTL)

Umbreon gijinka. 8D Is/was going to be a mascot for an art shop that was in the works for Solia. ...except now idk if/when I'll actually get to do it...o-orz.

Likewise, this was going to be a sample thing. Idk why it's so soft-blur looking. o-o;;

And then this was a quick thing I drew up for one of those roleplays. It was only going to be a profile picture, thus the really lazy hatching instead of shading and this only being from the thighs up.
